Erasmus+
ERASMUS+ is an EU educational program that was founded to enable educational mobility, good practices exchange and prepare strategic partnerships. The Erasmus+ program provides financial support for institutions and organizations operating in the area of education and training in Europe.
In practice, this means that the program enables foreign mobility - trips for educational purposes (studies, internships, training, volunteering) of pupils, students, teaching staff and administrative staff. The program supports the building of partnerships between universities and secondary schools, enterprises and non-profit organizations to strengthen innovation and knowledge.
Under the program, at each level of study, students may complete 12 months of mobility, including mobility to partner universities for completing part of studies (usually 1 or 2 selected semesters) and/or internships in institutions, companies and organizations in European countries.
Currently, the Faculty of SiMR has signed Erasmus mobility agreements with the following universities:
- Universiteit Antwerpen, Belgia
- DTU - Technical University of Denmark, Dania
- INSA Centre Val de Loire, Francja
- Université de Franche-Comté, Francja
- Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille (Lille I), Francja
- National Technical University of Athens, Gracja
- Universidad Deusto, Hiszpania
- Universidad de Cantabria, Hiszpania
- Universidad de Málaga, Hiszpania
- Vilniaus Gedimino Technikos Universitetas, Litwa
- Fachhochschule Köln, Niemcy
- Rheinisch Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen, Niemcy
- Technische Universität Braunschweig, Niemcy
- Fachhochschule Ingolstadt, Niemcy
- Technische Universität Berlin, Niemcy
- Bergische Universität Gesamthochschule Wuppertal, Niemcy

In the case of study mobility, application process takes place in February/March each year via the USOS system. The opening date of recruitment will be announced on the Faculty's website .
For internships, application process is possible at any time in the whole year.
There are organized the Information meetings also. Their dates are announced on the Faculty's website.

Athens
Created in 1997, the ATHENS Network is composed of 15 European technological universities or institutions from the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Turkey.
The principle goal of the Network is to facilitate the exchange of students among the major European technological universities.
One of the Network's first and most unique actions concerns the organization of an intensive course programme given at each member institution during one of two defined periods ("Sessions") of the academic year (November and March). This training activity is called ATHENS Programme.
Each Session includes both 30 hours of scientific courses work as well as 10-15 hours of European Dimension Activities. At the termination of an ATHENS Session, the Home Institution officially recognizes the work carried out, according to the results obtained on an examination organized by the Host Institution and evaluated according to its proper system of grading. Each complete Session is generally worth 2 to 3 ECTS credits. The number of credits given depends on the home University.
Participation in the ATHENS session is free of charge. Students covers the travel and subsistence costs on their own.

ENHANCE
The goal of ENHANCE is to create systemic, structural and sustainable cooperation between the consortium's universities, which will lead to new solutions beyond existing models of cooperation:
- to introduce innovative educational methods on a large scale,
- making it easier for students to choose subjects from the offer of partner universities,
- creating a system to support the mobility of the academic community,
- reducing bureaucratic barriers in the cooperation of partner universities.
One of the main goals of the Enhance consortium is to increase mobility in the associated universities, support European identity and enable students and scientists to cooperate in the European scientific environment. At the heart of this initiative is the development of ENHANCE European educational paths, i.e. a system of common goals and learning outcomes, a tool for mapping subjects and competences, which allows students to select courses from the educational offers of all partner universities, ensuring their automatic recognition. It is expected that in the long term, this will enable students to choose their education options regardless of which university and what level of study they are enrolled in. Students will be able to choose a course at one of ENHANCE's partner university that matches the learning outcomes defined at their home university for their study level and register for that course on the same terms as students from that university. There is no need for selection by the home university, separate registration at the host university or any other additional procedures constituting an additional barriers. The obtained ECTS credits will be automatically transferred to the student's study account and will be recognized when issuing a diploma of completion of studies. This is intended to lead to individualized, innovative and collaborative curricula at bachelor and master levels.
The ENHANCE Alliance consists of 10 leading European technical universities:
- Berlin University of Technology,
- RWTH in Aachen,
- Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg,
- the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim,
- the University of Technology in Milan,
- the University of Technology in Valencia,
- Warsaw University of Technology,
- TU Delft University of Technology,
- Gdańsk University of Technology,
- ETH Zurich.
In the Enhance Alliance the Faculty of SiMR is involved in the courses of Mechanical Engineering area.
